About therapy...
We all want to be happy and live with ease. But there is so much that gets in the way and causes us to suffer. It takes a great deal of courage to ask for help. Applaud yourself for taking the first step!
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a licensed addiction counselor (LAC) specializing in issues of trauma, addiction and life transitions.

I take a two handed approach to therapy: 1) reconciling and making sense of our experiences in life; and 2) learning the skills and tools to better manage our psychological well-being, improve our relationships and create meaningful and fulfilling lives.
Some common issues that I work with in therapy are:

-
Anger management
-
Anxiety
-
Being stuck in the past and unable to move forward
-
Conflict avoidance
-
Depression
-
Drugs and alcohol abuse
-
Emotional abuse
-
Excessive fears, guilt and worry
-
Feeling overwhelmed, highly stressed and/or being unable to relax
-
Identity and spiritual crises
-
Interpersonal conflict
-
Resentment
-
Self-sabotage, shame and self-esteem issues
-
Strained and/or dysfunctional relationships
-
Trauma/PTSD

Recovery is more than just sobriety. It is a lifestyle and a way of being in the world.

Therapists need a safe, secure, and supportive relationship where we feel seen in order to reach our greatest potential.
